Program Overview

The Fudan University - The Chinese University of Hong Kong Master of Tourism Administration (MTA) Joint Training Program is a collaborative effort between Fudan University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong to cultivate talents with knowledge and skills in tourism management. The program aims to promote cooperation in student training, achieve mutual complementarity, and foster excellence in the field.


Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:


  • Satisfy the admission requirements of Fudan University's MTA program, including:
    • Fulfilling Fudan University's graduate admission requirements
    • Having relevant industry work experience (at least two years for master's degree or doctoral degree holders, at least three years for bachelor's degree holders, and at least five years for high vocational college graduates)
    • Passing the admission procedure (including preliminary review, interview, and admission process)
  • Meet the admission requirements of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, including:
    • Holding a bachelor's degree
    • Having a GPA of 3.0 or above
    • Achieving a TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based) or 79 (internet-based), or an IELTS score of 6.5 (academic), or a GMAT score of 21 (verbal)
    • Voluntarily applying and being selected through a competitive process

Program Structure

The program is designed for Fudan University MTA students to spend their first year at Fudan University and, upon selection, their second year at The Chinese University of Hong Kong's Department of Geography and Resource Management. After completing the required courses, students will return to Fudan University to finish their thesis. The program has a mutual recognition of some courses, and students who complete the required courses and meet the degree requirements of both universities can apply for a master's degree from Fudan University and a master's degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
