Program Overview
The Fudan University - The Chinese University of Hong Kong Master of Tourism Administration (MTA) Joint Training Program is a collaborative effort between Fudan University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong to cultivate talents with knowledge and skills in tourism management. The program was launched in 2020, following the introduction of a joint training program with Oklahoma State University.
Admission Requirements
- Fudan University MTA Program Admission Requirements:
- Meet Fudan University's graduate admission requirements for mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau applicants.
- Relevant industry work experience (at least two years for master's degree or doctoral degree holders, at least three years for bachelor's degree holders, and at least five years for higher vocational college graduates).
- Pass the admission process (according to Fudan University and MTA program pre-examination and interview procedures and relevant regulations).
- The Chinese University of Hong Kong Admission Requirements:
- Hold a bachelor's degree and be a Fudan University Tourism Management Professional Master (MTA) student.
- Bachelor's degree average grade point (GPA) of 3.0 or above.
- TOEFL: 550 (paper-based) / 79 (computer-based).
- IELTS: Overall score of 6.5 (academic).
- GMAT: 21 (verbal basic score).
- Voluntary registration and selection.
Program Structure
Fudan University Tourism Management Professional Master students will study at Fudan University in the first year. Students who pass the assessment and selection will study at The Chinese University of Hong Kong's Department of Geography and Resource Management in the second year. After completing the required courses in the second year, students will return to Fudan University to complete their graduation thesis. Both parties will jointly develop a training program and teaching plan, recognizing some courses mutually. Students who complete the required courses, achieve qualified grades, and meet the degree requirements of both parties can apply for a master's degree certificate from Fudan University and a master's degree certificate from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The first batch of students started studying at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in September 2020, with a maximum enrollment of 20 students.
