Curriculum

The B.S. in Construction Science is a 120-credit-hour degree designed to be completed in four years. Courses are offered in-person through a mix of lectures and labs, giving students a strong foundation in both theory and practice.

Admissions Requirements

Admission to the Construction Science degree program is competitive. To move into the upper division, students must have completed all courses in the freshman and sophomore years and maintain a 2.5 GPA or better. Seventy students are admitted each fall into the Junior-level Construction Science Courses.


Admission Criteria

  • All classes shown in the Freshman and Sophomore years on the Construction Science degree plan have been successfully completed.
  • A cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 has been maintained.
  • The top seventy students are determined holistically considering GPA (cumulative GPA, major GPA, and OU GPA), extracurricular activities, work experience, and instructor feedback.

Accreditation

The Haskell and Irene Lemon Construction Science Division’s Bachelor of Science in Construction Science program is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE).
