Program Overview
MD Program
The MD Program at USF Health Morsani College of Medicine is designed to provide students with a comprehensive medical education.
Overview
The learning of high-quality clinical skills is a priority for USF Health. The state-of-the-art Center for Experiential Learning and Simulation (ELS) is where students can both learn and be evaluated on their clinical skills. These skills are introduced during the student’s first year and then taught and evaluated during all four years of their medical school experience. By the close of their fourth year, students will have had more than fifty hours of direct clinical skills assessment within the Center.
Experiential Learning & Simulation
The Center for Experiential Learning and Simulation (ELS) opened in 1995 and moved into the downtown simulation facility CAMLS in 2016. ELS serves as an evaluation center for several USF Health students. The Center has eighteen state-of-the-art clinical examination rooms, all equipped with advanced digital video monitoring and a closed-circuit computerized evaluation system.
Accreditation
The ELS is accredited by the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
