Physician Assistant Program

The Physician Assistant Program is designed to provide students with the necessary education and training to become competent and compassionate physician assistants.

Application Timeline

The application timeline for the Physician Assistant Program is as follows:

• PA Program Application Cycle:
  • May 12, 2025: First day of school. Matriculate into program.
  • April 28, 2025: CASPA application portal opens for applicants. Data begins to be sent electronically to programs for the upcoming cycle.
  • May 2025 – September 2025: Applications reviewed. Invitations for interview are sent.
  • September 1, 2025: The USF Health program deadline for the receipt of verified CASPA application. This deadline includes official GRE scores populated into your application.
• Important notes:
  • Applications submitted without official GRE scores will be placed on hold until the scores are received.
  • If official GRE scores are not received by the application deadline, the application will be declined.
  • If you receive an updated GRE score after submitting your application and would like it to be considered, it is your responsibility to notify the program of this update.
  • On your GRE test day or to assign previous GRE scores to this program, use Institution Code 8854 for the USF Health PA Program to ensure your score populates into your application.
  • GRE scores do not automatically populate into your application. It is your responsibility to contact ETS to add the USF PA Program’s GRE institution code 8854.
  • Scores do not transfer in a real-time process. It can take ETS up to a week to send your scores to CASPA.
  • Ensure your name, address, and date of birth is an exact match to your ETS account and your CASPA account. If any of these three elements do not match, your scores will not populate.
  • The CASPA transcript verification process may take up to 3 weeks to complete. Be sure to submit your application and transcripts to CASPA early enough to meet this deadline.
  • Check your CASPA application often to ensure no problems exist with your transcript(s) verification.
  • The USF PA Program does not grant application deadline extensions.
