The College of Nursing offers a graduate program in Pediatric Health Nursing, designed to advance the practice of registered nurses as Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PNPs).
Program Overview
As graduate-prepared registered nurses, Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PNPs) provide direct and indirect care for individual children and groups of children in health promotion, maintenance, and restoration. Their services are delivered within the context of family and child development.
Concentration Overview

The program follows a standard curriculum plan, with a specific course sequence finalized upon admission. The program requires completion of 57 credit hours.

Certification
Graduates are prepared to take the Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification Examination offered by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB).
Comprehensive Examination
A Master’s College of Nursing Comprehensive Examination is required at the end of the program.
