Program Overview
The Bachelor's program at our faculty is based on a broad, scientific foundation and typically lasts six semesters. The Bachelor's degree in Economics or Computer Science enables both direct entry into the workforce and transition to a further Master's program.
Admission Requirements
The basic prerequisites for a Bachelor's program include (in addition to a Swiss maturity certificate or an equivalent degree) a basic understanding of mathematics, interest in analyzing and solving complex problems, enjoyment of abstract thinking and systematic-methodical work, as well as English language skills.
Program Structure
The Bachelor's program at our faculty is divided into a major and minor study program, which can be chosen in accordance with your strengths and interests.
Major and Minor Study Programs
The minor study program can be used both to supplement and expand your curriculum and for initial specialization. You have the option to choose: The major and minor study programs can be completed either at the Faculty of Economics or at another faculty.
Assessment and Aufbaustufe
The Bachelor's program at our faculty is divided into an assessment stage and the Aufbaustufe: Regardless of the choice of major study program, the two-semester assessment stage provides you with basic knowledge in economics or computer science, as well as in mathematics and statistics. Those who have successfully completed the assessment stage after a maximum of two years are admitted to the Bachelor's stage.
Aufbaustufe
The Aufbaustufe typically lasts four semesters. From this stage, you have the opportunity to set your own priorities in the elective and optional subjects.
