Program Overview


Bachelor of Arts in European Studies (BAES)

The Bachelor of Arts in European Studies (BAES) program at the University of Zurich (UZH) offers students the opportunity to engage with European topics across four disciplines at three academic institutions: Politics, Philosophy, History, and Law.


Program Overview

In the spring semester of 2025, the Faculty of Law at UZH will welcome approximately 20 students from the BAES program, who will be pursuing a major in law at the RWF. The welcome event for BAES students will take place on Tuesday, 25 February 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in room KOL-E-13 (EV Senate Room). Afterwards, all participants are invited to a coffee break.


Module List

For each semester, students select modules for a total of 30 ECTS. The selected modules are recorded in an agreement (so-called learning agreement) signed by the BAES coordinator at UZH. The following modules are available:

FAQs

Are BAES students also mobility students?

No.


Can I write a bachelor's thesis at RWF?

A bachelor's thesis can only be written at the degree-awarding partner universities. The coordinator at the starting university can further advise on this.


Can I complete a Master's degree programme at the UZH Faculty of Law with a Bachelor of European Studies?

No. With a Bachelor of European Studies, admission to a Master's degree programme at RWF UZH is not possible.
