Wirtschaftsinformatik

Modern information and communication systems fundamentally influence the economy and society. They shape and change business processes in organizations, influence our way of working, and open up new business fields such as electronic commerce or services.

With the Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Business Informatics, you acquire the necessary foundations to actively shape changes in the economy through computer science. You combine methods from computer science and business administration to solve problems in companies in a holistic and comprehensive manner.

The focus is on the design and use of information systems in organizations. You learn to analyze problems and information needs in organizations and develop, adapt, and implement information systems and applications based on the resulting business requirements.

Career Prospects and Further Studies

With a degree in Business Informatics, you have excellent career prospects at the interface between business and computer science: You work in the economy and administration, for example, as a business analyst planning, testing, and managing the use of computer systems, providing IT and organizational consulting, shaping the IT department in a company, or acting as a methodically trained specialist.

Furthermore, the Bachelor's degree qualifies you for further studies at the Master's level.
