Program Overview
The University of Zurich offers a teaching diploma program for secondary schools, which is provided by the Institute of Education. This program provides a pedagogical and didactic education in addition to subject knowledge, enabling students to teach at secondary schools such as grammar schools or vocational schools.
Program Structure
The program consists of 60 credit points and can be started after completing a bachelor's degree or an equivalent subject-related education in the respective teaching subject. If the subject-related study is not yet completed at the master's level, admission to the program requires simultaneous enrollment in the corresponding subject-related study at the master's level at the University of Zurich or ETH Zurich.
Admission Requirements
The admission requirements for the teaching diploma program include a bachelor's degree in physics or an equivalent or higher subject-related education, such as a master's degree in physics. If a master's degree in physics is not yet available, admission to the program requires simultaneous enrollment in the master's program in physics.
