Program Overview
Program Overview
The KU Leuven and UCLouvain are launching a trilingual bachelor's program in law, which will be offered on their Brussels campuses. The program is the result of a long-term collaboration between the two universities and will provide students with a comprehensive education in law, taught in Dutch, French, and English.
Program Structure
The program will be taught over three years, with students receiving a single diploma from both universities upon completion. The curriculum will be divided into three languages, with approximately one-third of the courses taught in Dutch, one-third in French, and the remaining courses taught in English or through team teaching, where professors from both universities teach in their native language.
Program Benefits
The program aims to provide students with a strong foundation in legal terminology in the three main working languages of Belgium and Europe. This will give students a significant advantage in the job market, particularly in national or international legal contexts, such as European institutions, multinationals, or NGOs.
Admission and Career Opportunities
The program is designed for students who aspire to work in a national or international legal context. Upon completion of the program, students will have access to master's programs in law at both KU Leuven and UCLouvain. The existing Dutch and French bachelor's programs at KU Leuven - Brussels and UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles will continue to be offered.
