Introduction to the Program
The Faculty of Law at the University of Hong Kong offers a 4-year undergraduate law program, designed to meet the evolving needs of law graduates. Key Features of the Program
- Maximum Flexibility: Majors and Minors The new curriculum offers the option to focus on specific areas of law, such as commercial law, Chinese law, international trade and economic law, giving graduates an edge over those with general legal training. The program also allows for minors in non-law disciplines offered by the university.
- Problem-Oriented, Student-Centered Learning Teaching in the new curriculum will be primarily problem-oriented and conducted in student-centered, small group settings. In addition to legal knowledge, the program will emphasize applied skills, including communication skills, analytical skills, research skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Exchange Opportunities with Overseas Universities Students in their third and fourth years will have the opportunity to study abroad at partner universities as exchange students. The university has exchange agreements with over 150 top universities worldwide, and the Faculty of Law has additional exchange agreements with top universities.
- Clinical Projects Students will have the opportunity to participate in various clinical projects and workshops, dealing with real-life cases. Students will also have the chance to participate in international moot court competitions.
Admission Requirements
Applicants for the Bachelor of Laws program at the University of Hong Kong must meet the university's admission requirements. However, applicants should note that admission to the law program is highly competitive, and the average grades of admitted students are significantly higher than the university's minimum requirements and average levels.
