Program Overview
The university program focuses on the importance of physical activity in preventing and treating diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, obesity, and high cholesterol. The program offers a range of testing services and programs tailored to individual health and fitness situations.
Medical Fitness Program
The Medical Fitness program is available to all individuals, with discounted prices for HKU staff and students. The program consists of various testing services and programs designed to suit individual health and fitness needs.
Exercise is Medicine for Cancer Survivors
This program aims to introduce exercise in a safe and supportive environment, empowering cancer survivors to manage their physical activity and wellness. The program begins with a consultation and assessment by a Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist, who will suggest the best starting point for each individual, including home-based training, one-on-one training, mini-group, or regular group sessions.
Program Schedule
- Group 1: Mondays and Thursdays, 11:00 - 12:00
- This group session is designed for cancer survivors who prefer a structured and supportive environment.
- Group 2: Tuesdays and Fridays, 11:00 - 12:00
- This group session is designed for cancer survivors who prefer a more flexible and adaptive approach.
