Program Overview

The Professional Diploma in Business Logistics Management is a program that aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the business environment in the logistics industry. It also aims to equip graduates with basic managerial skills, enabling them to explore new business opportunities and make sensible decisions in business logistics management.

Program Details

• The program consists of eight modules, each with 39 to 45 hours of instruction, and is taught over a minimum of 18 months.
• Core modules include:
  • Business Environment for Transport and Logistics
  • Financial Management and Reporting for Transport and Logistics
  • Marketing and Service Management
  • Management and Decision Making
  • Sustainable Practice for Hong Kong Business Environment
  • Total Quality Management for Supply Chain and Logistics
• Specialist modules include:
  • GenAI and Automation for Logistics
  • New Normal in Supply Chain and Logistics
• Upon completion of the program, students should be able to distinguish important concepts of business environment, transport operations, organization structure, and human resource management, and enhance the productivity of the entire logistics and supply chain operations.

Assessment

• The mode of assessment will be generally based on a combination of coursework (including assignments and in-class tests) and examinations.
• All coursework of the program will be conducted in English.

Award

• Upon satisfactory completion of any two modules from modules 1 to 4 and any two modules from modules 5 to 8, and having fulfilled the 70% attendance requirement, students will be awarded the "Diploma in Business Logistics Management" within the HKU system through HKU SPACE.
• Upon satisfactory completion of all stated modules and having fulfilled the 70% attendance requirement, students will be awarded the "Professional Diploma in Business Logistics Management" within the HKU system through HKU SPACE.

Articulation

• Graduates may apply for admission to a number of bachelor degrees offered and awarded by the University of Plymouth, UK, in collaboration with HKU SPACE.
• The minimum study duration of the programs is 18 months.

Fee and Entry Requirements

Fee

• Application Fee: HK$150 (non-refundable)
• Course Fee: HK$39,000 (by three installments; all fees are subject to change without prior notice)

Entry Requirements

• Applicants shall:
  • Have gained in the HKALE Grade E in one AL subject or two AS subjects, or hold a post-secondary qualification of at least one year part-time duration, and
  • Have gained in the HKCEE Grade E in four subjects, and Level 2 in English language, and
  • Have at least two years of full-time work experience in logistics, transport, or business-related areas, or
  • Have gained a Certificate or Advanced Certificate awarded within the HKU system through HKU SPACE.
• Applicants with other equivalent qualifications and relevant work experience will also be considered on individual merit.

Continuing Education Fund (CEF)

• Some modules of this course have been included in the list of reimbursable courses under the Continuing Education Fund.
• The CEF Institution Code of HKU SPACE is 100.

• Cheque or bank draft made payable to "HKU SPACE"
• VISA or Mastercard, including the "HKU SPACE Mastercard"

• Online WeChat Pay, Online Alipay, and Faster Payment System (FPS) for continuing enrollment in the same program
