The Cornell Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program is designed for aspiring leaders who want to work at the intersection of data, business, and communication. This STEM-designated degree program prepares students to bridge the gap between analytics and action, with a powerful blend of advanced analytics training and Ivy League business education.
Program Curriculum
The MSBA curriculum is built on the idea that analytics leaders must be both technically fluent and strategically persuasive. The program focuses on three key areas:
- Advanced Analytics & AI Tools: Build proficiency in Python, SQL, machine learning, and emerging AI frameworks.
- Business Fundamentals & Focus Areas: Apply analytical toolkit across finance, marketing, supply chain, operations, and more.
- Communication & Leadership: Learn how to turn complex findings into compelling stories and guide executive decisions.
One Program, Three Formats
The MSBA program is offered in three distinct formats:
- Online+: A 16-month program with asynchronous online courses and live faculty interactions, featuring two immersive residencies.
- NYC Full-Time: A 10-month accelerated program on weekdays, with in-person classes at Cornell’s NYC campus.
- NYC Part-Time: An evenings track with a flexible schedule, featuring in-person classes at Cornell’s NYC campus.
Each format offers unique advantages, but all lead to the same Ivy League degree.

- Operations & Supply Chains
These concentrations help tailor the program to individual interests and career goals, maximizing industry impact.

Application Deadlines and Key Dates
The application deadlines for the Class of 2027 are:
- NYC (Full-time and Part-time): December 15, 2025 (next deadline), April 15, 2026 (final deadline)
- Online+: December 15, 2025 (next deadline), March 15, 2026 (final deadline)
The program begins in August 2026 for NYC-based students and May 2026 for Online+ students.
