Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior
Program Overview
Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior
The Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior major is designed for students who are passionate about science and interested in hands-on chemistry and biology labs. This major focuses on organisms and their interactions within their environments, providing students with the opportunity to be involved in research and internships. As the most popular major within the College of Biological Sciences and the fifth most popular on campus, the neurobiology, physiology and behavior major educates pre-health students with the mindset to develop solutions that will help humans and animals lead healthy lives.
Major Requirements
Students will begin their study with foundational courses in biological sciences, chemistry, mathematics, and physics. At the upper-division level, they will study advanced general topics in the biological sciences and may also choose from courses such as animal behavior, physiology of particular organ systems or groups of animals, developmental neurobiology, and endocrinology. Students will pursue a B.S. degree, providing rigorous training in biological science.
