Program Overview

Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

The Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is a program that accepts a limited number of candidates. To be eligible, candidates must have completed a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery or an international equivalent.

Program Description

The program does not involve participation in oral and maxillofacial surgery clinical care. Instead, it requires candidates to complete a major research effort related to oral and maxillofacial surgery and/or oral biology. This research is usually conducted in conjunction with research faculty of the University. The goal is for students to develop the ability to focus, analyze, and organize complex data to address an issue in a way that contributes to the literature.
