Admission Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- At least one semester of calculus (including differentiation & integration) with a recommended grade of B or better.
- At least one semester of linear algebra, with a recommended grade of B or better.
- At least one semester of probability, with a recommended grade of B or better.
- Professional work experience prior to entering the program is required.
- Prior experience in programming languages, such as R or Python, is recommended and preferred but not required.

- TOEFL/IELTS: Required for non-native English speakers without a degree from an institution where English is the sole language of instruction or from specific countries.
- Official Transcripts: All applicants may upload unofficial transcripts for application submission. An international transcript evaluation is required for degrees from non-U.S. institutions.
- Letters of Recommendations: Three required, with at least one from an academic reference if education was completed within the last five years.
- Personal Statement: Required, describing understanding of biostatistics and health data science, commitment to pursue a career in public health, and how the degree will help achieve personal and career goals.

- Additional Materials: Application fee (waived for early decision applicants), and an additional statement outlining plans for completing prerequisite courses if applicable.
Tuition and Funding
- Graduate Tuition & Fees: Available on the Student Financial Services website.
- The Online Master's in Biostatistics offers scholarships up to 50%. Most students receive a scholarship and/or are self-supported through a combination of loans, outside funding, and/or assistantships.
Completion Requirements
- Students are required to successfully complete 9 online courses, including a final capstone project.
- Courses have both required asynchronous and optional synchronous components.
- Non-traditional adult learners and working professionals can expect to complete the course sequence in as few as 20 months.
- Up to one graduate course from another institution can be transferred.
