Introduction to the Double Degree Master's Programme
The Double Degree Master's programme in Service and Supply Chain Management is a unique opportunity for students to gain expertise in two highly sought-after fields. This programme is offered in collaboration with the Católica Porto Business School, allowing students to study in both Porto and Groningen.
Programme Overview
- The programme is a full-time, 24-month course that combines the areas of Service Management and Supply Chain Management.
- Students start by following the MSc Management (with a specialization in Service Management) at the Católica Porto Business School in their first year.
- In the second year, students advance their expertise in MSc Supply Chain Management at the University of Groningen.
- The programme focuses on tackling today's challenges and shaping the future of supply chains, with a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability, renewable energy, and digital innovations.
Programme Structure
- Year 1: Students study at Católica Porto Business School, taking courses such as Operations Management, Management of Innovation in Services, and Service Management.
- Year 2: Students study at the University of Groningen, taking courses such as Supply Chain Processes, Supply Chain Coordination, and Research Methods for SCM.
- Students can choose two Focus areas to specialize in: Energy Transition and Climate Change, or Healthy Society.
Admission Requirements
- Previous education: Students from an undergraduate programme of the University of Groningen who have direct admission to the MSc Supply Chain Management may apply for admission to this double degree programme.
- Language test: IELTS Academic overall score 6.5 (Speaking 6, Writing 6.5); TOEFL internet-based overall score 90 (Speaking 20, Writing 24); Cambridge C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency (overall score 176, Speaking 169, Writing 176).
