Master's Programme in Mathematics
The Master's degree in Mathematics at the University of Groningen offers the ideal environment to explore advanced mathematics through research and real-world relevance. Extracurricular Activities
In addition to this master's programme, you can apply for the extracurricular FSE High Tech Systems and Materials Honours Master (1.5 years, 20 ECTS), developed in close collaboration with industry.
Entry Requirements
- A Dutch bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics gives direct access.
- In case of other bachelor's or master's degrees, the board of admission will decide if you meet the admission requirements in terms of general level of previous education and specific background knowledge.
Admission Requirements
- Previous education: A Dutch bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics.
- Additional subject: The Admissions Office will advise the Board of Admissions on your application.
- Knowledge minimum: The admissions board determines whether the specific contents of this/these course(s) meet the admission requirements of the master programme for which you applied.
- Language test: The University of Groningen requires a language test for non-English speaking students.
Registration Procedure
The Board of Admissions will decide whether you can be admitted to the Master's degree programme. Applications are evaluated on a continuous basis.
