Course Content
The Master of Education in French combines fundamental specialized knowledge in the areas of French literature, linguistics, and cultural studies with instruction in the specialized didactics of these subjects. The guiding principle behind this intertwining of specialized knowledge and specialized didactics is the conviction that the acquisition of scholarly knowledge and skills is essential for the development of the personal characteristics required of a teacher.
Course Structure
The theory and methodology modules in the degree program comprise 18 credits (CP). The specialized didactics modules comprise 13 CP, 5 of which are reserved for preparation and follow-up of the practical semester. The Blended Module is the point of intersection between theory and methodology and specialized didactics. This module will consist either of two courses with related content or of a single course with components from both areas.
Additional Information
- The Master's thesis may be completed in either of the two degree program subjects, or, alternatively, in Education Studies; it comprises 15 CP.
- No additional oral or written final examination is required in the French degree program component.
- Detailed information on the modules of the individual versions as well as further information on degree program organization may be found in the module handbook.
