The Master of Science programme in Chemical Engineering at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) provides students with the knowledge, insights, and skills they need to become independent and responsible researchers or engineers in this field. With a degree of MSc Chemical Engineering in Delft, you can be classified as a general Chemical Engineer. However, with the different Science & Engineering Orientations (Health, Nuclear, Energy, and Circularity), you can give more focus to your study.
Why Study Chemical Engineering at TU Delft?
- Internationally Recognized and Highly Ranked: The program is internationally accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), ensuring it meets the highest global standards in the field. TU Delft provides one of the world’s top programs in Chemical Engineering, as it is consistently ranked from 8 to 21 in QS World University Rankings over the last 5 years.
- Innovative and Flexible Curriculum: One of the highlights of the program is the first-year design project, where students collaborate in teams to solve real-world industrial challenges. You can tailor your studies to match your personal interests, with specialization options in:
- Clean energy
- Health and medical applications
- Sustainable materials and circular processes
- Nuclear chemical technology, supported by an on-campus nuclear research reactor
- Artificial Intelligence, through elective courses and a full-time Interdisciplinary AI Project
- Strong Career Preparation: In your second year, you have the freedom to choose your thesis topic, complete an internship, study abroad, participate in interdisciplinary projects, or prepare for a career in education or research. Career prospects are excellent:
