Tracks
The programme offers three discipline-oriented tracks to choose from:
- Electrical Power Engineering, driving the transition to sustainable and reliable energy systems
- Microelectronics, covering chips, VLSI, devices, circuits, and applied electromagnetics to enable cutting-edge electronic technologies
- Signals, Networks & Sensing, enabling smart, connected, and data-driven societies
Application-Driven Themes
In the MSc EE, students craft their unique specialised programme by choosing a discipline within their track and an application-driven theme. The themes offered by the faculty include:
- Wireless Communications
- Solar Energy
- Quantum Technologies Other themes offered in collaboration with other faculties and programmes include:
- Medical Electronics & Microsystems
- Energy-Efficient AI
- Space Systems
- Control & Robotics
Programme Structure
The programme spans the full spectrum of the field, from developing reliable and sustainable power systems to designing microelectronics for faster, smarter, and more energy-efficient devices, to advancing signal processing, networks, and sensing technologies that support smart infrastructure and connected societies. After admission and completion of the first quarter, students can choose to follow either a Theme or a Custom set of courses within their 15 ECTS EE-Related Elective Space. Guidance will be provided to help students make this choice by the end of the first quarter.
