Program Overview
The Urbanism track is part of the Master of Science in Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences (AUBS) program at Delft University of Technology. This track draws on the Dutch tradition of combining urban design, landscape architecture, spatial planning, and engineering.

- Start: BSc Bouwkunde graduates can start in September and February. New students can only enroll in September.

What You Will Learn
Students learn to work on several scales, from regional strategic visions to neighborhood redevelopment projects. Through these projects, students respond to local trends such as congestion, mobility, urban renewal, shrinkage, and densification, and global trends such as globalization, climate change, demographic trends, and the energy transition.
The Urbanism Track aims to provide the prospective urban planner/designer with academic skills to analyze urban environments and urban developments in a critical way and to propose new solutions for an efficient, sustainable, and liveable organization and management of the urban environment.
Community and Activities
Urbanism and Landscape Architecture share a very active community of students: Polis. Many activities are organized, including an Urbanism & Landscape Week, meet & greet at the start of the academic year, buddy system, debates, and study trips.
Career Prospects
The program prepares students for careers in urban planning and design, with a focus on sustainable and liveable urban environments. Graduates can work in various fields, including government, private sector, and non-profit organizations, on projects ranging from regional planning to neighborhood development.
