Overview of the Privacy Management Program

The Privacy Management program is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage privacy in various sectors, including healthcare, education, marketing, digital technology, law, and finance. The program is offered online and consists of four courses, each focusing on a different aspect of privacy management.

Program Details

• The program is open enrolment, meaning there is no formal application or admission procedure.
• To enrol in the program, individuals must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, or be a mature student as defined in the Undergraduate Calendar of McMaster University.
• The program consists of four courses:
  • Foundations of Privacy (PRV 101)
  • Privacy Program Development (PRV 102)
  • Privacy and Security Risk Assessment (PRV 103)
  • Technology and Privacy Management (PRV 104)
• Each course is offered in a virtual classroom format and requires approximately 3-4 hours of study per week.
• The program can be completed in approximately 2-3 months, depending on the course schedule and individual progress.

Admission Requirements

• Individuals must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, or be a mature student as defined in the Undergraduate Calendar of McMaster University.
• If English is not the individual's native language, they must meet McMaster University's English proficiency requirements.
• Individuals must have knowledge and skills with general computer applications, such as keyboarding, file management, video conferencing, and word processing.

Tuition Fees

• The tuition fee for each course is as follows:
  • Foundations of Privacy (PRV 101): $503.00
  • Privacy Program Development (PRV 102): $629.00
  • Privacy and Security Risk Assessment (PRV 103): $629.00
  • Technology and Privacy Management (PRV 104): $629.00
• A McMaster Part-Time Student fee is included in the cost of academic credit courses.
• There is no tax on courses unless indicated at the bottom of the schedule chart.
