The Risk Management program at McMaster University is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to identify, assess, monitor, and limit risks in various industries. The program offers a Certificate of Professional Learning in Risk Management, which can be completed in under a year.

• The program consists of three accelerated 10-week courses, which can be taken online.

Program Requirements

• To earn the Certificate of Professional Learning in Risk Management, students must complete all three required courses:
  • RSK 713: Risk Management Principles & Practices
  • RSK 714: Risk Assessment & Treatment
  • RSK 715: Risk Financing
• Each course is worth 3.0 units, and the total cost for each course is $834.08.
• The program is open enrolment, which means there is no formal application or admission procedure.

Admission Requirements

• To enrol in the program, students must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, or be a mature student as defined in the Undergraduate Calendar of McMaster University.
• Students must also meet the English proficiency requirements of McMaster University.

Program Schedule

• Registration for each term opens in mid-July, mid-March, and mid-March, respectively.
• The program is delivered online, and each course requires approximately 10-12 hours of study per week.

Tuition Fees

• The cost of each course is $834.08, which includes a McMaster part-time student fee.
• A one-time, non-refundable activation fee of $39 is required for new students.
• Payment must be made in full at the time of enrolment, and can be made online using a credit or debit card.
