Program Overview

The University of Sheffield offers a Master of Science (MSc) in Business and Organisational Psychology, a program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply psychological theories and principles to enhance employee satisfaction, wellbeing, performance, and productivity within the work environment.


Program Description

The MSc in Business and Organisational Psychology is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and meets the stage one requirements for obtaining Chartered Psychologist status. The program is delivered by the Management School, which holds Triple Crown accreditation from AMBA, EQUIS, and AACSB. The curriculum includes modules such as Applying Psychology to Work and Organisations, Leadership, Engagement and Motivation, Learning, Training and Development, Selection and Psychological Testing in Organisations, Statistical Methods for Occupational Psychologists, Work Design, Organisational Change and Development, Well-being and Work, and Research Methods for Occupational Psychologists. A dissertation is also required, which provides students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice and further develop their organisational skills.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must have a minimum 2:1 undergraduate honours degree in psychology or a related subject with considerable coverage of research methods. International students must also meet the English language requirements, which are IELTS 6.5 (with 6 in each component) or University equivalent.

  • Home (2026 annual fee): £13,660
  • Overseas (2026 annual fee): £32,905 There are also scholarships available, including the Peter Warr Postgraduate Scholarship, which is worth £5,000, and a £3,000 tuition fee discount for overseas fee-paying students.
