Program Overview
Information Management MSc
The Information Management MSc is a postgraduate degree offered by the School of Information, Journalism and Communication, Faculty of Social Sciences. This industry-accredited course prepares students for a career in the fast-growing information management industry.
Course Description
This MSc will equip students with the theoretical knowledge and practical digital skills needed to lead organisations in managing information as a strategic asset. Students will engage with key contemporary developments in information management, such as knowledge management, the use of social media, digital transformation, innovation, data governance and stewardship, AI, inclusion, and sustainability.

Entry Requirements
Minimum 2:1 undergraduate honours degree in any subject. English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 (with 6 in each component) or University equivalent.

Overseas fee-paying students joining in September 2026 will automatically receive a £3,000 tuition fee discount (subject to eligibility). Sheffield graduates may save up to £2,500 on their postgraduate taught course fees, subject to eligibility.
