Program Overview
The Sheffield LLM is a flexible program that provides students with expert knowledge and skills across a range of legal topics. It allows students to tailor the course to their interests and career aspirations.
Course Description
The course is delivered through seminars in each subject area, with assessment through essays and a dissertation. Teaching is research-led and practice-oriented, encouraging students to undertake independent research to support their learning.

The course is delivered through seminars in each subject area, as well as dedicated sessions to support the development of academic skills and dissertation writing. Assessment is through essays and a dissertation.

Entry Requirements
- Minimum 2:1 undergraduate honours degree in a relevant subject
- English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 (with 6 in each component) or University equivalent
Fees and Funding
- Home (2026 annual fee): £11,380
- Overseas (2026 annual fee): £26,320
- Funding for postgraduate taught courses is available
- £3,000 scholarships for international students
