Which languages must I know?
The language of study and examination is German. Individual courses may be conducted in English. Good English language skills are expected for literature studies. Therefore, English language skills are required. However, formal proof of English language skills is not necessary. German language skills equivalent to DSH-2 (TestDaF 4) are required for international students.

Which topics are dealt with in the program?
In addition to subject didactics, technical, environmentally relevant, and industrial applications of chemistry, as well as advanced reaction types of inorganic and organic chemistry, are conveyed in lectures and seminars. If the master's thesis is aimed at in the subject of chemistry, an intensive course in methods of chemistry (laboratory practice) is completed. Alternatively, there is the in-depth practical course in chemistry if the master's thesis is aimed outside the subject of chemistry.
