Requirements and Application

• Selection Criteria: The selection is based on the number of applicants, and there is no fixed NC (Numerus Clausus). The NC is determined each year based on the number of applicants.
• Requirements for Studies: General higher education entrance qualification (HZB) or a relevant subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, or a foreign HZB recognized as equivalent by the relevant state authority. Students whose mother tongue is not German must provide proof of sufficient German language skills (DSH or test DaF).

Program Details

• Topics: The program covers the entire spectrum of original midwifery activities and provides a scientifically founded and practice-oriented education at a university level.
• Structure: The program is a full-time study program with lectures usually taking place during the day. Practical training is provided in all departments of the University Hospital and its cooperation partners (early, late, night, and Saturday shifts).
• Praxis Curriculum: The practical training follows a defined curriculum that is available to all practical training institutions (hospitals and ambulatory sector).
• Study Abroad: A stay abroad is not regularly planned, but it is possible to spend time abroad voluntarily. Planning should start about one to one and a half years before departure.
