  • Admission Requirements: The general requirement for studying at the University of Tübingen is the Allgemeine Hochschulreife (general higher education entrance qualification), usually the Abitur, or another higher education entrance qualification, e.g., the Deltaprüfung for prospective students with a Fachhochschulreife (university of applied sciences entrance qualification) or a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification.
  • Language Requirements: For the study of Judaistik, good knowledge of German and English (Abitur level/B2) is necessary. Knowledge of at least one additional Romance, Semitic, or Slavic language or Turkish (corresponding to about B1 of the GER) is desirable.
  • Hebrew Language: In the course of the B.A. Judaistik program, you will learn the Hebrew language up to a level of Hebraicum, as well as basic knowledge in further stages of Hebrew and Biblical Aramaic. This is part of your studies, without which you cannot successfully complete the program. No prior knowledge of this language is expected; you can acquire the language completely during your studies.
