On what criteria are applicants selected?

The admission to the study program is based on a selection process by the University of Tübingen. Applications must be submitted to the Student Secretariat of the University of Tübingen during the application period. The selection process is based on the grade of the Bachelor's degree certificate. A ranking list of all applicants is created, and the best applicants are invited to a personal selection interview at the Institute of Sports Science. The interview assesses motivation and aptitude for the desired course of study. A final ranking list is created based on the selection interviews, which is decisive for admission.


Which requirements must I meet for studies?

The study program is restricted for all semesters, and the start of studies is only possible in the winter semester. The Master's program in Sports Science prepares students for sports-related fields of work in the areas of health and performance. The program consists of the main subject Sports Science and the supplementary area Sports Medicine, which is offered by the Medical University Clinic, Department of Sports Medicine. Central topics are in the areas of health (health promotion, prevention, rehabilitation, and therapy) and performance (performance diagnostics, promotion of performance, and high-performance sports). The program is designed to allow individual focus on these fields.

The Master's program in Sports Science combines sports science content with sports medicine content.
