The program "Sprachen, Geschichte und Kulturen des Nahen Ostens" (Islam Studies) is a culturally oriented program with a solid language training in several cultural languages of Islam (Arabic, Persian, Turkish). It offers a broad overview of the cultures of the Islamic Middle East in history and the present. The three-year study program combines a thorough philological education with an introduction to methods of history, cultural, and social sciences.
