Bioengineering Master of Science (M.Sc.)
The Bioengineering Master of Science (M.Sc.) program at KIT is designed to deepen and expand the knowledge acquired in the bachelor's program, with a focus on applying process engineering principles to biomaterial systems. Admission Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering or a degree program with essentially the same content
- Minimum knowledge and achievements in mathematical and scientific fundamentals, engineering fundamentals, thermodynamics and transport processes, process engineering fundamentals, and biology and biotechnology
- Proof of German language skills at least at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
Program Structure
- 1st - 3rd semester: Core Skills, Process Engineering, Computer-Aided Methods, Elective Area Specialization, Internship, and Interdisciplinary Qualifications
- 4th semester: Master's thesis
Internship
- Mandatory internship of at least three months to gain industrial practice or research experience
- Can be completed in industry or at a research institute
- Recognition of completed relevant vocational training or internship between bachelor's and master's degree is possible
