Program Structure
The program is structured into four semesters, with the first three semesters focusing on compulsory and compulsory elective modules, and the fourth semester dedicated to the master's thesis.
- 1st - 3rd semester:
- Compulsory area (63 CP): Business Administration, Economics, Informatics, Operations Research, and Engineering Sciences
- Compulsory Elective Modules (27 CP): 2 compulsory elective modules, Seminar Module, and Interdisciplinary Qualifications
- 4th semester:
- Master's thesis (30 CP): An academic paper that applies and deepens the knowledge and skills acquired during the program
Internship
The study program does not include a compulsory internship, but students can complete a voluntary internship during their studies. If the internship serves the objectives of the studies and covers at least half of the lecture period, students can apply for a semester off (leave of absence).
Admission and Language Requirements
- Admission requirements: A bachelor's degree or equivalent in an economics, engineering, or computer science degree program, with minimum knowledge and achievements in mathematics and/or statistics
- Language requirements: Sufficient knowledge of German and English, with German language skills at least at level C1 and English language skills at least at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
Selection Procedure
The selection procedure is based on a ranking list of applicants who meet the admission requirements, with a maximum of 90 achievable assessment points. The ranking list is based on the overall grade of the final academic examination and previous study and examination achievements in mathematics, statistics, and/or econometrics.
