Introduction to the Global Master's in Management
The Global Master's in Management at the London School of Economics (LSE) is a two-year program designed for ambitious graduates who are ready to lead with purpose. Based in the heart of London, this program blends academic excellence with global exposure, preparing students to tackle the real challenges of modern management.
Overview of the Program
The program is structured into two years. The first year focuses on developing a strong understanding of core business disciplines, such as finance, strategy, marketing, and organizational behavior. The second year allows students to choose from three distinctive routes: the CEMS MIM, the MBA Exchange, or the LSE Pathway. Each route provides a unique opportunity for students to specialize in their area of interest and gain international experience.
Year 1: Foundation
In the first year, students complete the Foundations of Management I course, which covers the core subjects of managerial economics, organizational behavior, and managerial finance. Students also undertake an introductory course, which includes team-building activities, career development, and personal impact.
Year 2: Specialization
In the second year, students can choose from three pathways:
- CEMS MIM: Join the prestigious CEMS Global Alliance and spend a term abroad at a partner school, graduating with a double degree.
- MBA Exchange: Spend a term abroad at one of LSE's 10 top-tier partner schools in the US or Asia, such as Yale, Kellogg, or Booth.
- LSE Pathway: Stay at LSE and customize your experience with a wide range of electives, specializing in areas like finance, strategy, or sustainable business.
