Introduction
The LSE-Sciences Po Double Degree in the Political Economy of Development is a two-year program that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the political economy of development. The program is designed to equip students with the theoretical and practical tools to drive transformations forward by understanding why some societies have succeeded and others have failed.
Overview
The program is built around a theory-led approach to the role of institutions and organizations in development, using both classical institutional theory and the new institutional economics. Students will spend the first year at Sciences Po and the second year at LSE, where they will study one of the following streams:
- MSc Development Management (Applied Development Economics)
- MSc Development Management (Political Economy)
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the program, students must have an upper second class honors (2:1) degree or equivalent in any discipline, with social science or humanities an advantage. Students must also meet the English language requirements, which are Higher.
