MSc International Health Policy

The MSc International Health Policy programme allows students to analyze current and emerging health care problems and the range of health policies being developed to address them through the application of health policy and economic principles. Students also learn to analyze health systems from an international and comparative perspective.

Entry Requirements

  • Upper second class honours (2:1) degree or equivalent in any discipline.
  • English language requirements: The English language requirement for this programme is Standard.
  • Competition for places: Competition for places at LSE is strong. So, even if you meet the minimum entry requirements, this doesn't guarantee you an offer of a place.

Programme Content

  • Compulsory half unit courses: Three compulsory half unit courses
  • Dissertation: A compulsory 6,000-word dissertation which may be written in conjunction with a summer placement within a government department, international agency, private organisation, or academic research institution.
  • Optional courses: Students choose courses from a range of options across the Health Policy Department and other relevant Departments such as Economics and Methodology.
