MSc Management of Information Systems and Digital Innovation

The MSc Management of Information Systems and Digital Innovation is a 12-month full-time programme designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge to become leaders in the field of digital innovation. Programme Content

The curriculum is designed around three core courses, with a wide choice of optional elective courses in information systems, digital innovation, management, and other topics. The programme includes:


  • Dissertation: An 8,000-word dissertation project during the summer, enabling students to specialise in a specific area of interest.
  • Programme Project: A compulsory element of the programme, where students engage in a five-day simulation of a real-life technology management consultancy project.
  • Programme Trips/Events: A trip to Bath in Somerset in Autumn Term and an end-of-exams celebration in Spring Term.

Entry Requirements

  • Upper second-class honours degree (2:1) or equivalent in any discipline
  • No previous work experience is required
  • English language proficiency may be required

  • Home student fee: £39,900 (2026/27)
  • Overseas student fee: £39,900 (2026/27)
  • Fee reduction: Students who completed undergraduate study at LSE and are beginning taught graduate study at the School are eligible for a fee reduction of around 10 per cent of the fee.

  • Assessment: Half-unit courses can be assessed by two-hour unseen examinations, coursework assignments, class participation, or group/individual project work
