MSc Management and Strategy
The MSc Management and Strategy programme at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to tackle pressing global issues through managerial economics. Programme Content
The programme is designed around five compulsory core courses and a wide choice of optional elective courses in managerial economics, accounting, finance, and other topics from leading academic departments across LSE. Students will complete the programme with a 6,000-word dissertation project during the summer, enabling them to specialise with in-depth knowledge in their specific area of interest.
Entry Requirements
- Upper second-class honours degree (2:1) or equivalent in social science, engineering, or science discipline.
- Previous knowledge of economics is not needed, but the programme is aimed at students with a quantitative background.
- GMAT/GRE is required from all applicants, except for current LSE students and alumni studying or who have studied Economics, Economic History, Management, Finance, or Mathematics.
- English language requirements: The English language requirement for this programme is Standard.
Fees and Funding
- Home student fee (2026/27): £39,900
- Overseas student fee (2026/27): £39,900
- Fee reduction: Students who completed undergraduate study at LSE and are beginning taught graduate study at the School are eligible for a fee reduction of around 10 per cent of the fee.
- Scholarships and other funding: LSE offers some needs-based awards for this programme, including the Graduate Support Scheme.
Learning and Assessment
- The LSE learning experience is designed to challenge students' views of the world and of management as a discipline.
- Courses are taught in lecture and class or seminar format, with a significant amount of independent study and preparation required.
- Assessment methods include two-hour unseen examinations, coursework assignments, class participation, or group/individual project work.
