Program Overview


MSc Marketing Programme Overview

The MSc Marketing programme at the London School of Economics (LSE) offers a distinctive blend of human insights, analytical expertise, and business acumen. This programme is designed to equip students with the skills needed to succeed in marketing, providing a comprehensive understanding of customer behaviour, data analytics, and the wider business context in which marketing teams operate.


Introduction

Students will study alongside a diverse, global cohort and have the opportunity to apply their learning through a practical project, tailoring their studies with optional courses to reflect their interests and support their career goals.

Entry Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree with upper second-class honours (2.1) or above, or international equivalent
  • No prior work experience is required, but students with experience are welcome
  • GMAT or GRE is recommended for all applicants and is required for applicants without a UK undergraduate or graduate degree

Fees and Funding

  • Home student fee: £39,900 (2026/27)
  • Overseas student fee: £39,900 (2026/27)
  • Deposit: 10% of the tuition fee within six weeks of receiving an offer
  • Fee reduction: Students who completed undergraduate study at LSE and are beginning taught graduate study at the School are eligible for a fee reduction of around 10 per cent of the fee
  • Scholarships and other funding: Available, including the Graduate Support Scheme

Learning and Assessment

  • The LSE learning experience: Challenging your view of the world and of marketing as a discipline
  • Teaching: Lectures, classes, seminars, and individual supervision
  • Academic support: Academic mentor, faculty office hours, programmes team, and the Learning Lab
  • Assessment: Half-unit courses can be assessed by two-hour unseen examinations, coursework assignments, class participation, or group/individual project work
