Program Overview
Program Description
The program focuses on the concept of occupability, which refers to an individual's perception of their prospects in the job market. It explores the three components of occupability: career identity, human and social capital, and adaptability. The program delves into the role of technologies in developing occupability and is structured into four weeks, each covering different themes related to occupability and its connection to technologies, digitalization, and the job market.
Program Structure
- Week 1: Occupability in the digital era, including the general model of occupability, occupability and digital, and career identity.
- Week 2: Human and social capital in the digital era, covering human and social capital, skills and functions for human development in the digital world, and developing social capital with technologies.
- Week 3: Promoting adaptability in digital transition, including adaptability as a career resource 4.0, characteristics that promote adaptability, and how to promote adaptability to technological changes.
- Week 4: Digital transitions, innovation, and lifelong learning, including transition and professional development, lifelong learning new frameworks, agency, and professional training.
Target Audience
- Primary target: Students of the Master's Degree in Permanent Education and Continuing Training (LM-57).
- Secondary target: All other students interested in understanding how to invest in their occupability, especially in relation to the new challenges of the job market linked to digitalization.
Learning Outcomes
- Analyze one's own or others' level of occupability.
- Understand possible areas of development (orientative or formative) to improve one's or others' occupability.
- Interpret the DigiComp framework to comprehend and identify different levels of digital competences that can support both human development and business evolution.
- Plan professional development adapted to the context of digital transformation.
- Utilize the network of peers and superiors to improve one's occupability, leveraging technological tools.
- Evaluate one's own and others' adaptability to the digital context, planning actions to implement it.
Prerequisites
No specific prerequisites are required, other than the ability to use the resources provided in the MOOC.
Activities
The MOOC is structured with various learning modalities, including video lessons, individual study, and questionnaires for self-assessment. A final quiz is required to obtain the completion badge, with a minimum of 60% correct answers.
OpenBadge
Upon completing the course, participants will be awarded an open badge. Users who access the platform with University of Bologna credentials and respond correctly to at least 60% of the final quiz questions will receive an email to download the open badge from the BESTR site.
