Program Overview
Program Description
The program is a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) developed within the framework of the "DIVE-IN Diversity and Inclusion" Excellence Project. It is specifically designed for those intending to pursue master's studies at the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures.
Course Structure
The course is divided into 5 weeks, each consisting of 6 modules. Each module comprises one or two lessons in the form of videos or slides.
- Week 1: Parole - Introduces participants to the following themes: Inter/Intraculturalità, Identità and spazio sociale, Memoria culturale, Raccontare/Raccontarsi, Territorio/mobilità/migrazioni, Parola/Immagine/Multimedialità.
- Week 2: Lingue - Covers phenomena such as Biografie linguistiche, Struttura, Contatto, Norma and Deviazione dalla norma, Autotraduzione, Apprendere/Comprendere/Trasmettere.
- Week 3: Tempi - Reflects on: Lingua and testo, Fonti, Archivi, Memoria, Storie and parole, Tradizione.
- Week 4: Significati - Explores the connections between: Forme, significati and icone, Traduzione and interpretazione, Oralità and scrittura, Cultura and potere, Lettura, Autore and soggetto.
- Week 5: Prassi - Addresses the following questions: Posizionamento, Patrimonio, Testo and immagine, Comunicare le lingue and le culture, Gender, Spazio pubblico.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for taking this course.
Quizzes and Scores
At the end of each week, quizzes are proposed to consolidate the learning of the contents. These quizzes are evaluated for the purpose of completing the MOOC.
- The score is 1 point per question.
- The MOOC is considered completed if at least 60% of the questions from the 5 weeks are answered correctly.
- The total score is calculated based on the average of the scores obtained in the quizzes of each week.
Certificate of Participation
The Certificate of Participation is obtained only if participants have answered at least 60% of the quiz questions correctly. It can be downloaded and printed directly from the "Progress" panel without waiting for the end of the MOOC.
Subtitles
Participants have subtitles available to better follow the videos, which can be activated or hidden at their discretion.
