Program Overview

The university program in question is the Ph.D. course in "Lingue, letterature e culture moderne" (Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures) at the University of Bologna.

Program Structure

The program is divided into several curricula:

• DESE - European Literatures: This curriculum focuses on three European literatures, exploring the theme of cultural heritage from the Middle Ages to the present day, with particular attention to the role and fate of public and private archives and libraries.
• EDGES - Studi di genere e delle donne (Gender and Women's Studies): This curriculum examines literatures, cultures, methodologies, and theories related to gender studies, aiming to produce, circulate, and consolidate cultures of parity, diversity valorization, and inclusion.
• WORLDLIT - World Literature e studi postcoloniali (World Literature and Postcolonial Studies): This curriculum investigates themes such as decolonization, cultural and linguistic diversity, inclusion, and citizenship, which are interconnected and part of a multifaceted historical development.
• LINGMOD - Scienze delle Lingue Moderne (Modern Language Sciences): This curriculum explores language and modern languages through different approaches, including sociolinguistics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, and conversation analysis.
