Program Overview

About the Programme

The Stanford PACS for CUHK, Essentials of Effective Philanthropy, is a seven-day executive education programme designed for family office leads and financial advisors looking to serve their high-capacity clients by providing more robust philanthropic support. This programme is a collaboration between the CUHK Business School, Centre for Family Business, and Stanford PACS, Effective Philanthropy Learning Initiative. The programme is taught by Stanford PACS faculty, researchers, and guest speakers with expertise in philanthropic advising.


Who Should Attend

This programme is open to senior executives, programme officers, and trustees at family foundations, or individuals managing charitable giving within a family office. It is also open to senior staff in family offices and financial advising firms, as well as seasoned professionals looking to shift careers into this space. Priority will be given to professionals working to develop philanthropic portfolios with clients and those with strong, demonstrated motivation to see increased and more effective giving from wealth holders in the region.


Programme Schedule

The programme will be held in two formats: in-person and virtual. The in-person sessions will take place on December 3-5, 2025, at the CUHK campus in Hong Kong. The virtual sessions will be held on December 11, 12, and 15, 16, 2025.


Certificates Awarded

Upon completion of the seven-day course, participants will be awarded two certificates: the Certificate of Effective Philanthropy by Stanford PACS and the Certificate of Completion in Effective Philanthropy by CUHK Business School Executive Education.

The programme fee is HK$ 61,000. A discount may be available for multiple participants from the same organization.
