Admission Requirements

    • Aged 21 or above with a strong interest in Chinese Medicine and a good command of Chinese

Course Content

The program covers three main areas:


  • Chinese Medicine Basic Theory: 30 hours, covering the fundamental theories of Chinese Medicine, including yin-yang, five elements, qi, blood, body fluids, zang-fu, meridians, and pathogenesis.
  • Chinese Medicine Diagnostic Science: 30 hours, focusing on the basic principles of Chinese Medicine diagnostics, including the four diagnostic methods (inspection, auscultation and olfaction, inquiry, and palpation), eight principles, and zang-fu differentiation.
  • Commonly Used Chinese Medicines and Formulas: 20 hours, introducing the basic theories and principles of Chinese pharmacology and prescription, including the classification, properties, and applications of Chinese medicines.

Assessment and Certification

  • Attendance Requirement: At least 70% attendance for each module
  • Assessment: Pass the assessment for each module
  • Certificate Award: Upon completion of the program and meeting the attendance and assessment requirements, students will be awarded the "Certificate in Basic Chinese Medicine"
