Master of Arts in Religious Studies Programme

The Master of Arts in Religious Studies Programme features an interdisciplinary approach to examine the interactions between religion and culture, religion and ethics, religion and education, religion and literature, and so forth. The programme aims to broaden students' horizons in religious culture, heighten their awareness of the relationships between religion and social phenomena, and deepen their understanding of the active role of religion in human culture and society.

Objectives

The programme has the following objectives:

• To provide students with a comprehensive understanding of religion in its historical settings and contemporary contexts, both locally and globally.
• To equip students with a basic knowledge of the major religious traditions of the world.
