International Foundation Year
The International Foundation Year at Queen Mary University of London offers progression onto more than 100 bachelors degree programmes. The programme is taught by Queen Mary academics at the Mile End and Whitechapel campuses.
Humanities and Social Sciences
The Humanities and Social Sciences Foundation Programme provides pathways into Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Law, International Relations, and Film degrees, amongst others.
Science and Engineering
The Science and Engineering pathway offers routes into Engineering, Computer Science, Maths, Physics, Psychology, and Biological, Chemical Sciences, and more.
Entry Requirements
The programme accepts a wide range of qualifications for entry onto the International Foundation Year. The grades required for entry will vary depending on the qualifications completed and the pathway chosen. Students must also meet minimum English language requirements.
Teaching and Learning
The International Foundation Year provides teaching from award-winning Queen Mary academics. Students receive approximately 15 to 28 hours of weekly contact time, in the form of lectures and seminars. Independent study is also expected, with an additional 20 to 25 hours per week.
Assessment typically includes a combination of coursework and/or examination.
