The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Intelligent Games and Game Intelligence (iGGi)
The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Intelligent Games and Game Intelligence (iGGi) is a PhD research programme that aims to:
- Unlock the full potential of games research
- Contribute to wellbeing, prosperity, and science
- Train the next generation of leading researchers, designers, and developers in games
iGGi students undertake a four-year PhD in impact-oriented games research, working closely with over 80 partner organisations in the games industry and society. The programme covers a wide range of areas, including:

- Player experience and game design
- Games and play for health, education, or research
IGGI Conference
The IGGI Conference is an event that brings together industry and academia to discuss the latest developments in games research. The conference is held annually, with the next event taking place on September 13th and 14th, 2023.
